NHIS commences enrollment of retired police officers

National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) has launched its enrollment programme for retired police officers.

This new development was detailed in a press statement issued to Daily Post and signed by the Police Public Relations Officer in Jigawa State, ASP. Zubairu Aminudeen Ismail.


According to him, the programme was directed at ensuring that all retired police officers enjoy quality and free Healthcare together with their families.

The registration process will start on  Monday 12th April 2021 and end on Thursday 15th April 2021. As stated, it will take place in seven police area commands located at Birnin Kudu, Dutse, Gumel, Hadejia, Kafin Hausa, Kazaure and Ringim.

All retirees affected by this development are expected to come to the registration centres with their letter of retirements and retirees identification card.

The Commissioner of Police, Jigawa State Police Command, CP Usman Sule Gomna called on all retired police officers who weren't captured in the 1st phase to come out for the enrollment.
